Unlock Your Inner Skipper with RYA Training, and set sail in 2025
The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is one of the most respected boating organizations in the world.
At George’s Watersports, we believe that every adventure starts with the courage to take the first step. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, 2025 is the perfect year to unlock your inner skipper and gain new confidence on the water. Our RYA training courses are designed for those who want to enhance their boating skills, enjoy more challenging adventures, or even explore opportunities in professional yachting.
Why RYA Training?
The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is one of the most respected boating organizations in the world. It offers internationally recognized qualifications that open up a world of opportunities. While no formal qualifications are required for self-drive boat hire in Cyprus, RYA training is perfect for anyone looking to expand their skills, improve their navigation, or take on more advanced boating challenges.
The benefits of RYA training and certification are clear
it provides you with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to handle a boat safely in a variety of conditions, whether you’re exploring the Mediterranean or considering bigger yachting goals. At George’s Watersports, we make this journey both educational and exciting with expert instructors and hands-on experiences that make learning a true adventure.
A RYA Training Program Tailored to You
We offer a variety of RYA training courses designed to suit different levels of experience. Whether you’re entirely new to boating or looking to refine your skills, there’s a course for you:
- RYA Powerboat Level 2: Perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of boat handling, navigation, and safety. You’ll gain practical experience that gives you confidence on the water, whether you’re in Cyprus or planning an international boating holiday.
Why 2025 Is the Year to Start
Boating is more accessible than ever, and now is the perfect time to start your RYA training. While self-drive boat hire in Cyprus is straightforward and doesn’t require formal certification, RYA qualifications open the door to a broader range of opportunities. In many other European countries, formal qualifications are required for boat hire, making an RYA certification an invaluable asset if you’re planning to explore beyond Cyprus.
We are open throughout the winter for rya training
For those seeking more advanced adventures, RYA training is a gateway to taking complete control of your experiences. Whether you dream of leading your own Mediterranean escapades or tackling complex routes on larger vessels, having the proper training equips you with the skills and confidence to go further.
