How Eclipse and Acapulco, chartered together, are perfect for yacht parties on the Akamas coast.
Most yacht parties happen on a single deck. One boat, one bar, one social space, and a guest list that has to flatten itself to fit. That works beautifully for smaller groups, and it’s how the great majority of charters in Latchi are run.
But a good celebration has a shape. It has moments when the whole group is together, the toast, the cake, the first plate of food coming out of the galley, and moments when it breaks into smaller pockets, the people who want to dance, the people who want to swim, the people who just want to sit on the foredeck and catch up with a cousin they haven’t seen since 2019.
The twin charter is built around exactly that shape.
Two identical yachts, moving as a pair, coming together for the moments that belong to everyone and drifting slightly apart for the moments that don’t. It is one of our favourite ways to host a larger group, and it’s an idea that only really makes sense once you’ve seen it happen.
Two boat charters
Eclipse and Acapulco are identical Karnic SL800 motor yachts, a proper Cyprus-built cruiser, beautifully proportioned for the Akamas coastline. On their own, each one is a self-contained day charter: modular seating that shifts from lounge to dinette, a shaded sundeck that sleeps four sunbathers without anyone touching elbows, cold drinks in the cool box, and a skipper who reads the wind like a favourite book.
Booked as a pair, they become something different.
ou get two captains navigating in convoy, two crews choreographing the day, and two stages that can come together and pull apart as the celebration moves. The aft platforms rig up as one continuous deck when the boats raft together at anchor. The sound systems can share a playlist or run their own. One boat can be the loud boat. The other can be the quiet boat. Guests self-sort, and everybody ends up exactly where they want to be.
“The dance floor isn’t either boat. The dance floor is the water between them.”
Anchor the pair side by side in a clear bay and you have a floating compound. People swim from one hull to the other, claiming a sunbed on whichever deck has the better angle on the afternoon light. The cousin who always sits in the corner at weddings finds a perfect spot on Acapulco. The friends who want music claim Eclipse. Nobody feels crowded. The party breathes.

What a Twin Charter Actually Feels Like
The rhythm of a two-boat day writes itself. You leave Latchi harbour in convoy, both hulls throwing identical wakes across the morning water. Someone is always on the rail of the other boat, waving, filming, shouting something inaudible across the gap. That footage alone, two matching yachts cutting the same line of coast, is the kind of thing that ends up on the save-the-date for the next occasion.
Out at the anchor point, the boats come together. Stern to stern. Side by side. The crews bring the swim platforms into one long deck, roughly sixteen metres of combined waterline to play with, two full provisioning points producing food and drinks in parallel. When it’s time to move, to chase better light, to find a fresh bay for the afternoon swim, to circle back towards Latchi for sunset, the convoy reforms. The day has the pacing of a private flotilla.
The Yacht Parties That Suit It
We’ve run twin charters for all kinds of celebrations, and a few of them keep coming back.
Milestone birthdays where the guest list finally includes both the school friends and the work friends, and you want neither group to feel diluted by the other. Wedding parties, not the ceremony itself, but the morning-after charter, when the families have officially met and now want a full day to actually enjoy each other. Corporate hospitality where senior leadership and the wider team need to share the same experience without collapsing into a single queue. Reunions, the twenty-years-later kind, where the friendship group is now spread across three countries and five postcodes and needs a single day that justifies all the flights.
- The common thread: groups that are big enough to fill a day, and interesting enough to deserve two stages.
Food, Drink, and the Details
Both yachts come fully provisioned with ice, soft drinks, snorkelling gear and the sort of safety kit you never notice because it’s always where it should be. For celebrations, we upgrade the catering to match the occasion and a drinks spec you’ve briefed us on in advance. If you want a particular style on one yacht and a different one on the other, we can do that. If you want both boats pouring the same signature cocktail at the same moment, we can do that too.
The service is what turns a charter into an event. You aren’t handing round drinks. You aren’t timing the food. You aren’t watching the clock to make sure you’re back in harbour before the sun drops. That is the crew’s job. Your job is to enjoy your own party.
The yacht parties Route Is Part of the Gift
The Akamas coastline is the quiet luxury here. Limestone cliffs that go copper at the end of the day. Water clear enough to see your own shadow on the sea floor twelve metres down. Sea caves big enough to sail a tender into. None of it is a secret, everyone in Latchi knows it’s there, but having it as the backdrop for private yacht parties celebrations is something else entirely. You aren’t visiting the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is hosting you.
A full day charter runs around 6 hours. Half-days run four. Most celebrations book the full day and find, somewhere around the sunset return, that the day has delivered everything they asked of it.
